I absolutely loved Singapore! We stayed in a historic ‘shop house’ that wasn’t far from Little India. There was an entire row of them, all so well done, and with a lobby entry filled with plants and comfy furniture. The food in the city-state was amazing. The foliage, huge trees overhanging wide boulevards and the gardens, including the world’s largest botanical garden, so mind blowing. I truly loved the ‘steel’ trees and light show nightly too. Plus even the airport was incredible. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Thanks for the post!
Thanks for sharing. Staying in a refurbished shop house in Singapore sounds amazing. We’ve done that in Malaysia and Thailand and love the refurbished yet old world vibe. And I too would return to Singapore in a heartbeat. Feels like I could happily plop down there for a bit. Maybe I will?!
Truly. It’s an easy place to get around. The people were well educated and we had some interesting conversations. From the history I’ve read Mr Lee ( I believe his name was) brought them in one generation to a first world country. That in itself is amazing.
So very much enjoy reading about your amazing adventures. The pictures are wonderful as well. You both look great! I was fortunate enough to go with Michael and Shawn to Singapore right before the pandemic and we all loved it. Such a clean city…which you know made me very happy!:)
Thanks for sharing this extremely interesting and informative journey with all of us. My ❤️ to you and Curtis
Hi - Thanks for the kind words. I think 10 hours at the airport is enough time to venture out. I know you can store bags. I thought Gardens by the Bay was pretty spectacular. Touristy, for sure, but haven't seen anything quite like it. If you are looking to stroll some neighborhoods and eat good food, Chinatown and Haji Lane are both worth visiting. If you end up going, let me know what you decide. :)
I'm just waiting for the window to open so I can book my flights to Australia for next year. Once I have confirmed dates and times, then I can start looking at the stopover options. Singapore is one of the options with a stopover long enough to leave the airport.

Thanks Ronnie. Tis a clean city, indeed. Appreciate the kind words and support always.
Hi Guys,
Nice article as always.
I like the simple strategy with detailed points towards the bottom.
Question for you. I've not been to this part of the world and I am not familiar with Singapore. (just starting research)
If I have a 10 hour layover in Changi, is it enough time to leave the airport and see something?
If so, what would you recommend?
Or, were you in a different area?
